In an area close to the famous Geysir we have excellent trout fishing opportunity in river Tungufljot. Near the river we have a beautiful small cottage within a walking distance from the Geysir complex with its Restaurant and shop. The famous Gullfoss is also close by as well as the national park of Þingvellir. There is a grocery shop in Laugarvatn which is about 20 minutes away by car. In Laugarvatn you will also find a swimming pool and a top notch spa.

The trout beat of Tungufljot is also within walking distance from the cottage, but the beat is huge so to cover it all it is advised to have a car.

The trout beat is really diverse with smaller tributaries and the heavier flowing main river. The area is suitable for almost every fly fishing technique you have in your arsenal. The larger river is suitable for streamers and the smaller tributaries are perfect for delicate fishing with dry flies and nymphs.

The cottage and the river make for a perfect family trip or for a small group that want to fish and also enjoy the sights of Iceland. The cottage is literally in the middle of the famous area known as the „Golden Circle”
