The top beat in Stora Laxa (beat 4) is generally regarded as the most beautiful place to fish for salmon that can be found – anywhere. Having been there it’s hard to disagree; the pictures below will give you an idea of what it’s like to be there.
The top beat is the best beat in the river for early summer fishing, the early multi winter salmon comes into the river in mid- or late June and seems to head straight up to beat 4. The biggest salmon of the season in Stora Laxa are routinely caught on beat 4 in June or early July.
The lodge for beat 4 was completely renovated last spring and is very comfortable and spacious. It has 5 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a hot tub and of course a spacious veranda.
You will be hard pressed to find good salmon fishing, in such a beautiful river at a better price.
