Stóra Laxá is one of our most popular rivers. The river is very large and diverse and absolutely stunning. In all there are 10 rods allowed in the river which is divide in to three beats. Beat 1&2 and four are four rod beats but beat three in the middle of the river is a two rod beat.

Beat three is excellent for a small party or a family that want to have their own private beat and a nice private lodge. The lodge has all amenities and on the veranda there is a Jacuzzi and a bbq.

The beat is very beautiful with numerous pools to choose from in a beautiful remote landscape.

You will be absolutely private while fishing in the river or staying in the lodge, well except maybe for a few sheep grazing the hills.
