Sog Asgard in 2020

The Asgard beat in Sog is a three rod beat in Iceland’s largest freshwater river the Sog. The river flows from one of Icelands larges lakes, lake Þingvallavatn and there is always plenty of water.

The Sog river has been known throughout the ages for its huge salmon and quite a few over 30 pounds have been caught there.  The river is fly only and best suited for a double handed rod 12-14 ft, 7-9.

On the riverbank you will find one of the most luxurious self-catering lodges in Iceland. The lodge has four rooms and one of them a master suite. There is a sauna, Jacuzzi and a huge veranda which extends all the way down to the river.

We have a few good slots left next summer, a perfect choice for a group of friends or a family.
