A few days ago fishermen in the East of Iceland caught a huge salmon in their net which they had laid out for Lumpsucker fish.

The salmon measured 120 cm and 15 kg a fat and healthy specimen. Its likely destination would probably have been one of the good salmon rivers in East Iceland. The salmon is pictured with this article.

Now it is only 16 days until we will open river Blanda for Atlantic salmon fishing. Blanda is one of the first rivers to open but before that river Nordura opens on June 4th.

We are getting really excited for the coming season and are as always optimistic it will be a great one!
