We just heard from our guys in Blanda that the fishing there is still going strong and new fish are pouring in on every tide. Usually the fishing slows down a little after the opening but not this year, the river is absolutely full of salmon.

Over 300 salmon have now gone upstream thought the counter which is a record for this time of year. Last year about the same time the number was closer to 50 and then we finished the summer with a record catch. What will happen this year?

And the salmon come from the ocean in extremely good shape, conditions in the sea seem to have been very good. Hopefully the grilse have benefitted as well, if they show up in good numbers we are heading in to a feast all summer.
