East Ranga guides now fishing for the hatchery and they have already put over 100 salmon to the box alive , West Ranga have plenty of fish but will not be open until 24th June , I guess that opening will be the biggest ever in Iceland , Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

Still hard work on the Kola river , we have to put a lot of effort in catching one fish a day and with extra efforts and a bit of luck then possible 2 fish pr. rod , getting very warm and mosquito out big time and love the white soft Icelandic skin so much … Arni arnibald@lax-a.is

Rivers Haffjardara and Midfjardara have just opened opened for the season. And the rivers did not disappoint. Midfjardara had 16 salmon to the six rods in the first shift. As you may have heard many rivers in Iceland have had their best opening ever. Blanda, Norðurá, Þverá/Kjarrá all opened with a record catch.
