Beautiful photographs and a happy group returning from Greenland!

I spent 4 days fishing with a group in Greenland 12-16th July and we had a great time and a lot of fishing. The Arctic Char there are unbelievably strong and this year I saw even bigger than usual. Some lying in the deep were even around 6-8 pounds.

Top Ten list Week 29

We bring you fresh weekly stats from Iceland. There was a slight downturn in catches but that can be explained in part by the Mallorca weather we have been enjoying. Many rivers are lacking heavily in water and badly in need of a rain. Now it has started raining and hopefully the salmon will start to take again. Meanwhile West …

The first salmon

I love the sport of fishing; it can truly be a family sport. I am lucky because my wife loves to go fishing and now my eldest son is very enthusiastic about the sport. I have in the past taken him with me in the autumn to fish for the hatchery and he caught a 90cm salmon at age five. …

West Ranga on fire

The season in West Ranga has been absolutely phenomenal so far. It is not unusual for the daily catch to be close to 200 salmon, those are numbers normally seen only on prime time. Today the river broke the 2000 salmon barrier and we are starting to be optimistic that last year’s total numbers will be bettered. Tight Lines Johann David …

In the week ending July 13, fishermen on the West Ranga captured more than …

Catch and Release

Here is a precious photo from our 8 year old angler, Matthilda, this early season up at Stora Laxa beat 4. A little girl releasing a big salmon in the canyons and truly a special moment she will treasure forever. We want to of course encourage our anglers to release big salmon this season so we can see them return for …

News from Stora Laxa beat 3
