River Blanda opened this morning in harsh conditions with the air temp around 3c this morning. The water levels were on the other hand excellent with the massive river low in water and clear.

The first salmon was caught by Binni in the pool Dammur south, a 78 cm beautiful female. The largest salmon a 93 cm female was caught by guide Reynir in the pool Breiða south. The fish is pictured.

The first morning gave a total of 8 salmon for the four rods and we are very pleased with the results.

We have a few rods left in Blanda this summer should you want to try the magnificent river.
