Stora Laxa is a beautiful river with three beats and each beat has a good self-catering lodge.
The river is only one and a half hour from Reykjavik or two hours from Keflavik airport.
Stora Laxa is usually very good in September when the water rises because of the autumn rains. Then the fish that wait for the right conditions enter the river in numbers.
We have a few very good September slots open in beats 3 and 4.
