Waiting for spring

The trout fishing in Iceland has been excellent in most places. Þingvallavatn has had a really great start with many great big browns caught already. The sea trout rivers are reporting very good catches as well.

The lake fishing started also very well but recently it has gotten slower on grounds of the weather. It has been awfully cold the past days with max temps around 4 Celsius. At the time of the writing of this article it is actually 2 Celsius  and snowstorm outside. Not many crazy enough to go fishing in those conditions.

But well, this is Iceland! The name kind of says it all, spring will be here eventually and so will the good old salmon.
