Trout season has started

The trout season in Iceland started last Saturday on April 1st. On the opening day the weather was absolutely beautiful with sunshine and around 7c. We heard report from various rivers that the fishing was good.

But then the weather took a turn for the worse and winter decided to stick around for a little longer. Temperatures dropped and it started snowing. Many hard – core anglers did not let a little snow get in the way of their beloved fishing but results dropped.  Pictured is our good friend Gordon Sim with a nice sea-(snow) trout J

All in all we are happy with the first days of trout, it is onwards and upwards from now and hopefully spring will arrive soon again.
