The salmon in river Tungufljot left it a little late this year to enter the river. Late August we had the first big runs of salmon in the river and since then the fishing has been good.

One lucky angler was the right man at the right time and caught 21 salmon in one morning when a fresh run came in.

Yesterday 11 salmon were caught and our guide Binni caught four in two hours and one of those was a proper 92 cm male which is pictured.

You can’t find a much more beautiful fishing spot than directly in front of a magnificent waterfall. And when the fishing is good as well, Tungufljot is up there with the best.
