Tomorrow the fishing season starts in Iceland and the weather today surely looks like summer is coming soon. There are many exciting destinations for spring fishing in Iceland where you have a great chance of big trout, even for a day trip from Reykjavik.

The salmon rivers open later or early June with our river Blanda opening the 5th June. Last year the opening for 2.5 days at Blanda beat 1 delivered 99 salmon! One river after the other opened with a bang last year in Iceland with salmon running so early and so many huge ones. It is exciting to see what the coming season has in store for us.
