Stora Laxa on fire

When it rains it pours they say and that has certainly been the case in Iceland. After a very long drought it has finally rained buckets loads and all rivers are in flood water. In Stora Laxa the catch has been world class after the heavy bursts of rain and now there is a fishing feast on all beats.

The river will probably end the season close to the 600 salmon mark which is a good total for the river.

Tungufljot has been quite good in the late summer with each day giving from 2-10 salmon for the four rods. The picture is from a happy angler yesterday in the river.

Bookings for next year have started really well. Be sure to contact us sooner rather than later for your dream trip.
