Beat 4 on Stora Laxá …. is stunning beat , surrounded by canyons and mountains , nature that is impossible to describe so beautiful it is. It is 14 km long beat exclusive to 4 rods. Fly only and catch and release, floating line works best , Stora Laxá Salmon is very aggressive and the love to attack on the surface. This beat is the hardest work of all the Stora Laxá beats , half of the beat have relatively comfortable access , the other half is canyon type fishing and anglers need to be fit for that. Lodge is 5 bedrooms and can sleep up to 11 people , well equipped kitchen , lodge is self catering. On the top of the beat there is another small lodge which is a museum of the oldest fly fishing club of Iceland , it is all rebuilt in the old style. Anglers are welcome to have access to this little lodge and even spend the night up there to inhale the spirit of the old times.
