Sea trout season is upon us!

It is that time of the year when we start hearing reports of good sea- trout fishing. To many the sea – trout is not a lesser fish than the salmon and many prefer it.

The sea-trout in Iceland can be quite big or over 20 pounds and even close to 30. They are different to the salmon as they are usually shorter in length but fatter.  One of our guys at the office, Karl caught one this weekend which was 80 cm in length but 60 cm in width! That is a fat fish and around 17 lbs, but salmon in the same length would be closer to 10.
