DEESIDE ROE BUCK STALKING SPRING 2011
Lax-a has a new package for May and June 2011 at Dunecht and Raemoir Estates which aims to fulfil the requirements of the many clients who have shown interest in roe stalking in Scotland. We have selected Deeside as it is very accessible due to its proximity to Aberdeen Airport. The area is of outstanding beauty and has plenty of other attractions and things to do when not out stalking.
Lax-a can advise on a variety accommodation in the area from high class hotels, local inns, “bed and breakfast” and self-catering facilities. Vehicle rental is available at Aberdeen airport.
The stalking consists of five morning sessions and four evening sessions with a personal guide with the expectancy of shooting five roebucks three of which should be “assessable heads”(six pointers). The stalker(s) arrive in Deeside on a Sunday with arrangements to meet your guide to zero rifles and arrange meeting point(s) and times for the first session on Monday morning. From Monday morning to Friday morning there are two sessions each day with the possibility of stalking on Friday evening or Saturday morning if earlier sessions have been adversely affected by very bad weather. It is possible to hire estate rifles if necessary.
The cost of these nine sessions is GBP1200 per rifle and we can cater for up to two rifles per week. We have available weeks in May and early June 2011, and also exciting weeks in the “rut” at the end of July/early August.
The above cost is for the stalking only and does not include:
Any accommodation costs.
Any car hire or transport costs.
Gratuities / Tips to your guide(s).
Cost of obtaining Visitor Firearms Permit.
Hire of Estate rifle and ammunition.
Trophy Fees. In the event of “Medal heads” being shot, Trophy Fees are payable as follows:
Gold £500 + VAT
Silver £350 + VAT
Bronze £200 + VAT
Damage to value of carcass. Any damage to the carcass will payable direct to the estate.
Whilst daytimes are often spent compensating for the very few hours spent sleeping at night, Royal Deeside has many attractions including fishing, golf, and historic castles such as Balmoral. Lax-a has its own prime beat on the river Dee where salmon fishing can be bought by the day subject to availability and there are many other opportunities to fish for trout and salmon in the area.
Lax-a representatives in the UK can assist in obtaining UK Visitors’ Firearms Permits. This process should begin at least two months before the date of travel.
