This is one of the nicest self catering rivers in Iceland , gin clear ideal for smaller flies , floating lines and hitched flies. On the Svarta rivers you can expect good numbers of two winter salmon and most years there will be salmon caught over 20 pounds. The river have very steady water level and is never to low the whole season, Svarta is exclusive to 4 rods and the prime time is from 20th July until late September.
