And the beautiful laguna on which the lodge is nestled holds some massive Rainbows and Browns which have very rarely ever seen a fly. ESTANCIA TECKA certainly has to rate right at the top of Argentinean Patagonia's great lodges. I fished Tecka in January of 2006, 2007,and 2008, 2009 and will be back SHORTLY to kick off 2010. Huge brookies in tiny lagunas devour mice patterns skittered along the surface, wary browns can also be coaxed from small spring creek hiding holes, and monster Rainbows abound in the beautiful RIO CORCOVADO which runs through 40 miles of the ranch. All of this coupled with gourmet cuisine and as fine a lodge as one could ever hope to find anywhere in the world. It all adds up to a very special experience.
You can choose to do BOTH lodges after flying to Esquel from Buenos Aires, spending three or four days at each which are only a few hours drive apart. Or you can choose one or the other and spend a full week at either. Argentina is the place to be when the Northern Hemisphere is snowbound and frozen.
