Arrive in Auckland where Lech and Adriana welcome you at the airport. You will be transferred to accommodation in city apartments on the waterfront in central downtown Auckland (Quest on Queen). Take a walk around the waterfront and yacht marina. Next day take a trip to West Auckland, a place famous for its wine and a laid back atmosphere, Muriwai Beach strongly recommended visiting with its beautiful West Coast black sand beach and Gannets colony. Take a ride on wind quad along the cost (optional). Dinner recommendations: (NZ best restaurant) at Viaduct Harbor. (2 nights)
Take the scenic coastal road via Clevedon to the Seabird Coast to Miranda with it's 8500 hectare intertidal sanctuary for migratory birds. Visit the Miranda Hot Springs are worthwhile stops. Stay for the night at Lakeside Golf Resort at Pauanui Township. (2 nights) Have some pleasure trying NZ golfing at its very best. Stay overnight in self-contained villas accommodation. Fishing in the Coromandel Ranges is excellent. There are number of delightful rivers with crystal clear water and boulder/cobble beds. Just to mention : Kauaeranga,Tairua, Waitawheta rivers.The trout stock is good both brown and rainbow. You can fish with your personal experienced fishing guide. We can suggest a nice stay in Body & Spa Wellness Center du Vin designed for men and women as the ultimate break - leaving you refreshed and revitalized.
Drive to Lake Taupo, stay in Quest Taupo Serviced Apartments or in Turangi Boutique Lodge while experiencing prime fishing in Tongariro world’s famous trout paradise. Activities in the area: Volcanic activity area called Orakei-Korako with its unique mud bath, Tongariro Crossing for the fit travelers, canoeing on Tokaanu Streem or simply relax having Hot Mineral bath in the afternoon. Be ready for the dinner at Lakeside Restaurant in Maori Village on Waihi Beach. (2-3 nights)
After three hours driving to river region, have a stop in a beautiful Art-Deco city Napier located in the heart of Hawkes Bay, the most famous region of best wine production and dining pleasures. Enjoy your dinner at the Sileni Estates Vineyard Restaurant. The region offers variety of attractions, like wine testing guided bike tours in the local vineyards. Otherwise explore Napier as one of the greatest Art Deco cities in the world with its Spanish Mission architecture. (2-3 days)
River region strictly for fishing ?. (1-2 nights)
Ferry to SOUTH ISLAND Marahau and Abel Tasman National Park; helicopter flights over the islands region (or Queen Charlotte Sound) accommodation in Awaroa Lodge right in the middle of the National Park. Stay and unwind looking at beautiful azure blue sandy bays and herons colonies spread over the territory of the Park. (2 days)
Head off Kaikoura in the next morning via scenic road along the coast. Observe seal colony on the way there and have a stop to taste NZ cryfish, freshly caught from the Pacific Ocean. The overnight accommodation suggestion is Hapuku Tree Lodge, at the feet of Alps Mountains with the view to the Ocean. Hapuku is a winner in eco-tourism accommodation and certainly will not disappoint your hospitality expectations. One of the extraordinary local attraction is whale watching, a half day boat trip to the open sea. (2 days)
Springs Junction is about fishing again (subject to Lech) (2 nights) bush walking to Lake Daniels and Japanese Hot Mineral Pool
It’s worthwhile to visit Hanmer Spring and enjoy jet boating on the way to Christchurch. Stay in the city the night before departure and experience Christchurch nightlife, having dinner in the city; wide range of first-class restaurants that might satisfy any special taste. (1 night)
