Lower Yokanga – Opening week

Lower Yokanga is famous for its population of trophy salmon. Salmon in the plus 30 pound range are caught every year and salmon over the mighty 40 pound mark are not very uncommon.

Some anglers even swear that they have seen salmon in the plus 50 or pound bracket in the river but they have proven elusive to catch.

We have three rods left in the opening week in Lower Yokanga, the week when the big fish usually arrive for the party. If you are after a trophy salmon this is the place to be.
