 For 2005 Lax-a donated the Association of parents of children who have mental illness. The donation is USD: 2.500.-
Lax-a decided in the spring of 2004 to find out which charity association in Iceland would have the greatest need for support. The conclusion was that BUGL , (which stands for children & teens psychiatric department at the national hospital in Reykjavík) in general had enjoyed the least attention and therefor we decided to suppert them. Our guide took a few youngsters for a fishing trip in May 2004 to Lysa lakes and streams on the west coast of Iceland, all the children had a great time and enjoyed the fishing very much. Following this we decided to donate to BUGL association the equivalent amount of a full week 10 rods on Lysa lakes and streams booked by our clients.
Donation Abroad:
 Abroad Lax-a have donated in fishing trips to Iceland for 2004 and 2005 to the well known organisation Atlantic Salmon Federation USD: 18.000.-
The salmon fishing donation is on the West Rangá river during Julyu and September , last summer West Ranga catch was 3.240 salmon which is the best catch ever. Together East and West Rangá catch was 6.500 salmon wich made 2004 the record year fro the Rangás.
 Lax-a donates SCI ( Safari Club International ) every year around 6000 to 10.000 USD. 2005 the donation is USD: 7.800.-
Lax-a ownes shares in two of the biggest salmon fish hatcheries in Iceland , the Laxeyri hatchery and the Husafell hatchery, there we can produce up to 1.000.000.- million of smolts and millions of parrs. These two hatcheries are very important to the Icelandic salmon rivers as they are like a gene bank for many of the major Icelandic salmon rivers.
With these two hatcheries we have been able to improve greatly the salmon runs in to our rivers. And in fact built up new rivers (which never had salmon runs before) with good run of salmon.
Producing up to 1.000.000 smolts ables us to built up rivers in Iceland with strong run of salmon, rivers which never have had salmon runs before.
