Salmon Full Service

Iceland has many good salmon rivers to offer. Some have a small self-catering cottages for a party of 2-6 anglers while the "larger" rivers offer full service at the lodge. With restaurants, bars, sitting rooms and ensuited rooms.
 

	Vídidalsá - A classic river with perfect fly water. Prime time: July - Agust. 8 rods and good accomodation in a comfortable classic lodge.
	West Rangá - One of the best in Iceland Prime time: July 5th to August 23rd. West Rangá is known for its high volume of fish.  There you fish for numbers.  There is a very comfortable lodge by the river with 20 ensuited rooms.
	East Ranga - World class salmon river Prime time July - August.  Lax-á has 14 rods and runs a comfortable lodge with 18 ensuited twin rooms.
	Blanda - A big fish river Prime time June - July.  Big river with 4-8 rods and a very comfortable lodge, built in 2006.   The lodge has a big dining room and sitting rooms. Two Jacuzzis and a sauna.
	Laxá á Ásum - Get in line! Prime time: July - August, Average catch 705 (2 rods!!) Th lodge is self caterering but many choose to have a private chef while fishing. There is also the possibility to stay at the Blanda lodge in full service.
