Tungufljot news

Written by Emil

Here are some news from Tungufljot which is one of our Icelandic salmon river gems. This beautiful salmon river has had good salmon runs most  years.

Tungufljot has now around 600 salmon landed on the main beat with some 100 salmon gone up the ladder in the waterfall Faxi therefore advancing up the river to the less expesive beat called the middle beat. Icelanders and guests have been taking advantage of that and getting some good fish for a very affordable price. The current is strong in tungufljot so it is exelent for advanced anglers to try out.

We still have a couple of available days for this season but we are now receiving alot of bookings for next year. So if you are interested in coming to Iceland and fish please contact us as soon as possible so we can arrange your fishing trip.

Best Regards

The Lax-á team

There are several options for accommodation available, a cottage near the river, a hotel close by or simply stay in Reykjavik and have a guide take you back and forth.
