I wanted to share with you few of my personal tips about fishing in Iceland in 2017.
- Early season fishing in East Ranga – East Ranga
We are selling the early season in East Ranga at a very fair price and the fishing ther from late June – beginning of July was truly exceptional this year. The weeks from June 15th – July 6th gave 1111 salmon this year and 100% multiyear fish. Imagine yourself in the bright Icelandic summer evening fighting a MWS chrome which has just entered the river!
- West Ranga – prime time – West Ranga
The fishing in West Ranga this summer was up there with the absolute best in the world. If you want to fish a nice river with a close to 100% success rate – prime time in West is the place to go. Oh… and the new lodge and food is perfect as well.
- Stóra Laxá Beat four – all season – Stóra Laxá IV
This is the river with a large R, exceptional landscape and mostly big fish. Not many of them but even with a hard fought one per day you will be ecstatic. This beat should be on every anglers bucket list, not for the faint of heart and you need to be in a relatively good shape to walk up and down the massive canyon.
