Salmon fishing in Iceland starts in most rivers around June 20th. There are a few rivers that open earlier and the lowest beat in Blanda, beat one is one of them.

The fishing there in June can be absolutely amazing, all the fish you will catch are MWS and they can be up to and over 20 pounds. Furthermore the salmon in Blanda are known for their strength and they have the hard current of the river to their advantage.

Once you have tried the Blanda in June, you will definitely come back, it is absolutely something to recommend!
