A monster salmon from Svartá

Svartá is our little gem in the north of Iceland. The river has four rods and plenty of space for every angler.

Svartá has been really productive this summer with about 500 salmon caught to the five rods. In the river junction to Blanda the river is absolutely full of salmon with at least 200 seen in pool „Hólmabreiða“.

One of our guides „Arnór Guðmundsson“was fishing “Hólmabreiða” yesterday morning when a monster hit his Bismo fly. It took Arnór an hour to finally land the fish and what a beauty it was, the fish was measured 102cm, 52cm and 11kg.

Have you secured your license in Svartá for next season?
