West Ranga has been on fire the first 6 days of the season, total 409 fish landed, very very good fishing if you ask us, especially when you think of the size of the fish. Around 80% have been 2SW fish with the biggest topping more than 100 cm, indeed a great opening of West Ranga River.

Another special thing this year is that we have been hitching fish out of many pools, the biggest a beautiful fish on 102 cm caught by long time friend of West Ranga Nils Jørgensen in the run between Rangafludir and the lower waterfall, the fish was on for almost 45 minutes and gave Nils a hell of a fight.!! Actually the right run below Rangafludir is full of fish and those 2 sessions Nils was fishing West Ranga he decided only to fish this stretch of the river and had a great time with a lot of fish caught all on the hitch. All week have been crazy and anglers have enjoyed the fishing in the river and we have had only happy smiling faces when anglers have returned from the river the last days.
