 Here is a great opportunity to fish two of the best spots in Argentina, if not the world, for Brookies, Browns and Rainbows. Both of these great destinations can be reached from the town of Esquel, an easy flight from Buenos Aires. TECKA is a massive estancia of some 650 square miles of private water. Hugh brookies in tiny lagunas devour mouse patterns skittered along the surface. Wary Browns can be coaxed from smal spring creek hiding holes, and monster Rainbows abound in the world renowned Corcovado River which runs throughout the estancia. And just down the road apiece lies beautiful TRES VALLES, a smaller estancia of some 18,000 acres set amonst the towering snow capped Andes Mountains of Patagonia. Tres Valles has almost unlimited options fishing the world famous Rio Pico and Rio Pampas rivers, along with a host of hidden lagunas, spring creeks and a lake on which the lodge sits that holds trout that will absolutely knock your socks off.
These trout are massive and few, until quite recently, have ever seen a fly. Both lodges are world class and offer both extraordinary accomodations at the doorstep of world class waters to cuisine that is as good as you might find in the top restaurants of the world let alone fishing lodges. These two destinations are a perfect opportunity to see and fish totally different scenerios on the same trip. We can set this up either 3 days in each lodge or 3 days in one lodge and four days in another or back to back weeks which presents a classic opportunity for experiencing all that Patagonia offers. The Argentine summertime starts just before Christmas and is welcome indeed when all in the chilly Northern Hemisphere can't wait to cast a line. And both of these venues allow the lucky rods to enjoy a night or two or three in beautiful downtown Buenos Aires. It is my favorite city in the world and is rightfully known as the city of Tango, wonderful city parks, world class shopping, and some of the world's finest restaurants famous for the absolutely best steaks money can buy.
