 I am just back from another great weekend at our Bush camp. This time it was to stock up meat so we left a number of good trophies for another occasion and only shot a Hartebeast and an Oryx for the freezer. The Bush camp is my own personal favourite among Lax-a’s Namibia destinations. A great way for a group of friends or two couples on a limited budget to experience the best of African hunting, while having lots of fun and relaxation in a remote bush camp on a huge mixed cattle and game ranch in central Namibia. . The ranch have access to 2 neighboring ranches giving a total of 18.000 hectares (180 sq km!) hunting area. The ranches do not have game fence and all the hunting is for free roaming animals in a typical open savanna area.
The camp consists of 2 modern bedrooms with 3 beds in each, one shower & toilet, plus PH room with 2 beds, shower and toilet. Extra outside toilet.
Running warm and cold water, electricity, self catering kitchen (but we can organize catering), daily cleaning, cell phone reception, slaughtering facilities. The camp is ideal for 4 hunters or 2 hunters and 2 non hunting partners
For a much more luxurious experience, but still at great prices try our Rooisand packages. Roisand is an unfenced game ranch in excess of 8000 hectares (80 sq km) in a mountainous semi desert hunting area halfway towards the Namibian coast. This ranch has a particular strong population of Mountain Zebras along with most of the other species on the Trophy list. Very challenging hunting in stunning mountainous terrain. Roisand is one of the three ranches in our 3 game ranches combination program, but we are now offering very good value for money introductory prices for hunting on Roisand. This is particularly suitable for a combined hunting / family trip as there are lots of activities for the accompanying family members e.g. photo safari, bird watching, hiking, horse back riding, star watching (Namibia is one of three most interesteding destinantions for star watching and Roisand has its own Observatory), tennis playing, workout in the gym, rock climbing, exploring minerals, practice your shooting at the clay shooting range, massage, relaxing in the sauna&pool, day trips to Windhoek or Swakopmund. Some of these activities will incur a minor extra cost, but our rates for accompaning partners and children are very good.
Apart from various dedicated hunting packages we offer a family holliday special with 3 days of hunting and 3 days of relaxation/other activities. This combines very well with an additional week or so in Swakopmund on the coast. Swakopmund is Namibias holiday and adventure centre. It is a pleasant seaside town with many nice litte boutiques, restaurants, coffee shops etc and a nice year round spring climate. From Swakopmund you can go on excursions into the world oldest desert, do quadbiking in the dunes, catch 100 kg sharks, do paragliding, sandboarding etc ......, the options are endless. We can organise everything for you in advance.
